It's important to note that bullying is defined as repeated, aggressive behaviour that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. There are several types of bullying, including:
1. Verbal bullying, which involves the use of mean words such as teasing and name-calling.
2. Social bullying, also known as relational bullying, which involves damaging someone's reputation or relationships. This can include exclusion, spreading rumours, and encouraging others to not be friends with someone.
3. Physical bullying, which involves hurting a person's body or possessions, such as hitting, pushing, tripping, or taking or breaking someone's belongings.
At Harvest, all reports of bullying will be taken seriously and handled appropriately by class teachers, the head of discipline, administrative personnel, and/or parents. The school's goal is to create a safe and supportive environment for all students and to provide resources and support for those who may have experienced bullying.
The Harvest Anti-Bullying Campaign is an important initiative that aims to create a safe and inclusive school environment for all students. If you or someone you know has been affected by bullying, remember that there is support available, and you are not alone.
