The annual H-Angel event, organised by Harvest Academy, took an inspiring turn this year with the introduction of a Charity Garage Sale. The primary objective of this event was to raise essential funds by selling donated items, with the proceeds set to support local families facing financial difficulties. By participating in this meaningful initiative, students at Harvest Academy directly contributed to improving the lives of those in need within the community.
Dedicated teachers and students invested approximately two months in meticulous preparation and collecting the donated items. Understanding the importance of their mission, students wholeheartedly engaged in sourcing items and selling coupons to raise funds. They also demonstrated their creative flair by designing the backdrop and personally crafting thank-you notes for all the event supporters.
On the event day, students enthusiastically set up booths showcasing a wide array of goods, including books, stationery, toys, clothing, cosmetics, electrical appliances, bags, and more. The public, wholeheartedly supporting the noble cause, made the event a resounding success. The event raised about RM1,300 in funds.
However, the impact didn't stop there. After the Charity Garage Sale, teachers and students went the extra mile by visiting two local households in need and providing essential supplies. This hands-on experience allowed the students to realize the significance of volunteering and contributing to society while making a genuine difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
